This is a FULL-INSTALL package version of the Metal Gear Solid Game. Just install it elsewhere on your pc and you will have a fully installed version of the game, full music, videos, voices. And of course no need for CD-CHECK.

It didn't come with 2 discs because the pc version was a single disc.

Jesus, what a mess.
First off, this game DOES check for the cd, so you'll need to pop a game disc in to circumvent the disc check or download the crack. Why the uploader chose not to simply upload the file as an image or include the crack is beyond me, but that seems to be the only issue.
For anyone complaining about the quality of the graphics and system alterations, etc. a little common sense goes a long way. This pc version was released in 2000, with support for windows 98, ME and 95. Running in compatibility mode for 98 will solve most system issues and as for the graphics being as "bad as PS1", it was a PS1 game, WTF do you expect?
This is not a remake or an update, it's a fifteen year old game designed to run on windows 98 using the video hardware and drivers available at the time. You will obviously need to adjust the graphics settings to accommodate hardware and software that did not exist 15 years ago.
That said, I recommend downloading the actual psx version of this game and playing it on a decent emulator, like epsxe, which runs this game virtually hassle free assuming you familiar with how to use an emulator.

If you're having problem with this "Insert CD 1" message try this: When it comes up just put any pendrive in usb port and you can play. I found it on some forum in google, some guy sad it worked for him. He said he was really surprised it worked and so was I :P HF
